Title:Bring awareness to domestic violence and the dangers of coercive control abuse. (link) Problem it solves:In an effort to bring awareness to the dangers of coercive control, this petition has been created demanding congress pass victim focused legislation by mandating all first responders including police officers and detectives as well as judges, attorneys, therapist, doctors, nurses, and teachers are trauma informed and properly trained to look for signs of coercive control behaviors that are emonstrated by both the victims AND the perpetrators. This legislation will also need to give law enforcement and judges the authority to take necessary action to detain and or restrain the perpetrator even if there are no visible signs of physical injury.
